GROWING GRIOTS LITERACY LEARNING PROGRAM

“It’s All About The Children” 

The “Growing Griots” are the youth component of the Griot Circle of Maryland.

The Griots Circle of Maryland is the local affiliate of the National Association of

Black Story Tellers (NABS).

The Growing Griots Literacy Learning Program is our “In House” family literacy

program designed to upgrade skills in reading, writing, listening, public speaking,

critical thinking, and the ability to follow directions.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Join us for our 2024-2025 Cultural Programs at the
Walbrook Branch Library!
Earn up to 45 service hours while diving into storytelling, history, and heritage. First session kicks off October 12, 2024. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to learn, connect, and grow!

  • Women's History Month (Mar 2025)

  • Juneteenth (Jun 2025)
     

Sessions: 2nd, 3rd, 4th Saturdays | 11 AM - 1 PM
